After the card puzzle, the final puzzle was We’ve got Merit - a puzzle we’ve had with us the whole time, disguised as our badge sash! For this puzzle, we had to organize our sash by the dots surrounding the edges, and the badges made phrases, then we had to index the words made in the phrases by the numbers at the top of the sash. Once we got the answer, it spelled out “Hornets”. We input this into the site and it told us this is the Fabricamp counselors’ greatest weakness.

After figuring out that metapuzzle, we were given instructions to go to Anderson Park, which is where we had to fight Fabricamp for the right to ownership of Camp Northwind! Here was a series of 4 challenges, first a relay beanbag/wheelbarrow race. Then, we had to take a quiz of things “every good camper should know” like what a baby swan is called, and different constellations. We beat Fabricamp in those, but still had to beat them in a singing competition of the Camp Northwind song, and a game of capture the flag. This is where the answer hornets comes in. The only way to beat this capture the flag game was to yell out “HORNETS” which would make the counselors scared and we would capture their flag and win!

Once we won, we were awarded the deed to Camp Northwind and given some dinner (hotdogs and chips).

This was a very rewarding ending to the weekend. After eating, we were allowed to go to RTC building 5, where game control was headquartered and could talk to the people behind the curtain and thank them.

WE SAVED CAMP NORTHWIND ! ! !
